MEET CRAIG MALLACE

Craig Mallace is the Owner and Director of Coaching for First Touch Soccer MN. Originally from Scotland, Craig has been involved in soccer since childhood and brings decades of playing and coaching experience to the program.

OWNER & DIRECTOR OF COACHING-

After a successful youth career in Scotland, Craig moved to the United States, where he stood out as an attacking midfielder in high school before continuing his playing career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During his time at UWM, he helped the team win three Horizon League titles and make three NCAA Division I Tournament appearances. He graduated with a degree in Communications in 2010 and remains one of the program's all-time assist leaders.

Craig went on to play professionally with the Milwaukee Wave (MISL) and the Minnesota Thunder in the USL First Division, competing against clubs such as the Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, LA Galaxy, and Montreal Impact.

Alongside his playing career, Craig developed a passion for coaching through youth camps and player development programs. After retiring from professional soccer due to injury, he transitioned fully into coaching and leadership roles. He has served as Director of Coaching for multiple organizations, including European Soccer Academy in New Jersey, Cottage Grove United, and Minnesota United FC, where he led camps, coach education, and youth development initiatives.

Craig currently coaches at Edina Soccer Club and holds USSF D and C Licenses, along with a National Youth License.

At First Touch Soccer MN, Craig and his staff are committed to providing high-quality training for players of all ages and abilities in a positive, challenging, and supportive environment.
